Random Tips for Reselling Online
If you are considering reselling online, then I want to encourage you to go for it! You know my #1 tip is resell items that will make you 1000% gross profit margin.
If you bought it for a $1, then you want to resell it for $10 (or more). That is the margin you are going for.
My next tip is to always consider shipping when sourcing and buying for your online store. I’ve passed up many items because the hassle to ship was more than I wanted to take on. I always triple bubble wrap when shipping breakables and use boxes with more than enough space for the item. This tip will save you tons of headaches in return requests.
With my two big tips out of the way, let’s talk about the smaller things.
For example, I rarely resell clothes.
I almost never resell items that are white, clear, orange, red, or black.
You might be thinking, “well that is random.”
The truth of the matter is those colors are difficult to photograph and no matter how many filters or how many edits you make, the colors always look distorted.
My favorite colors to photograph are items that are blue or light pink. Even lighter shades of green look great in photos.
Sourcing for your store is the best part of reselling. Processing the items and getting them online is time consuming and I prefer to stick with items that don’t slow me down. Like trying to find the right backdrop for a glass vase or a white shirt.
