Refinish an Entryway Table

DIY

Spring has us wanting to do all of the projects! If you’re anything like us, the warm air and sunshine motivates us to hop on projects we’ve been wanting to do but haven’t gotten around to. Today, we’re sharing how we transformed our entryway table. It was beautiful to begin with, but after a little sprucing up and elbow grease, it’s stunning!

Here’s an idea of what we were dealing with before. It’s a solid and sturdy little table, but we imagined it with a darker top and a lighter base to stand out.

We took it outside and got to work!

For this project we used:

A RYOBI sander

Watco Danish Oil

Paint

Paintbrush

Rag

Drop cloth

A table to DIY

Find the links to our sander and finishing oil below!

We sanded the entire table down, added the Watco dark walnut oil to the top, and painted the base white. You can use your choice of furniture paint for this part.

If you want to try your hand at a similar DIY, we have this great option! It’s an oak table available for sale this week at our Gastonia, NC estate sale!

Here it is, the finished look! We LOVE how it turned out! Our goal was to refresh this table and to bring it back to life. I think we succeeded! Go back and take another look at the before photos….look how much more everything pops now!

Below you will find links to some other’s furniture DIY projects. We hope this leaves you inspired to try your own!

Of course we videoed this whole project. If you need more visuals or would like to take a look in real time, watch below!!!
