Where to Sell Your Items
We receive messages after messages from individuals and families who are looking to sell personal items and most ask the same question, “where do we even start?”
Recommendation #1: Estate Sale
An estate sale is the perfect fit for the following scenarios:
You are downsizing
You are moving (or a loved one is moving)
You are selling a home after a loved one has passed away
Outside of those scenarios, the options get a little narrow. Let’s dive into them.
Recommendation #2: Consign Your Item(s)
We will be launching our consignment service very shortly (CLICK HERE to join the waitlist). In the meantime, there are consignment shops still open and active. Google “consignment store” and call two or three to find out about their process and rates.
Consignment is perfect for:
Clothes, shoes, accessories
Furniture
Sporting goods
Recommendation #3: Sell Them Directly
Rather than selling indirectly (estate sale or consignment), try your hand at selling them directly. Facebook Marketplace and/or Craigslist are the best avenues to selling locally and directly.
Neither platform has a cost to list and sell. The only caveat to selling on FB Mktplace is you will need a Facebook account.
Selling directly is great for:
Collections
Furniture
Vehicles
Outdoor / Garage items
