The Power of Photos When Marketing an Estate Sale

If you asked a realtor if photography matters when selling a home, then their answer would be β€œabsolutely”.

We believe the same to be true when marketing and preparing for an estate sale. Before the days of Pure & Simple Estate Sales, I found myself apprenticing under another liquidator.

He was grateful for the help and I relished the opportunity to learn a new industry. I had sold online for years but selling in person was a whole new realm.

As I worked and gathered and organized, he would photograph and research and price. That is until I told him his photos were terrible.

He would walk around the house snapping photos of each room with his iPhone 3 (remember this was 10+ years ago) and call it done.

Marketing? check!

Let me tell you friend, that is not marketing. Marketing in today’s world requires much more intentional effort than ever before.

Our attention spans are decreasing thanks to all of the information available at our fingertips.

Which means one thing.

When marketing anything, you must stand out!
