Where to Thrift Shop in Hickory

One of my favorite areas to thrift shop is Hickory, NC. While there, I recommend heading to Lenoir to shop around as well.

For today’s purposes, we will focus on where to thrift shop while in Hickory, NC.

Habitat ReStore

The best Habitat around (in my opinion). They receive donations from local furniture manufacturers along with an excellent selection of fabric, lighting, and other home improvement items.

Goodwill

There are several locations throughout Hickory and I recommend going to both. They are usually stuffed to the max with goodies and clothes.

Salvation Army Family Store

If you start at the ReStore then move to one of the Goodwills, then you can easily stop at the Salvation Army. While not as full, I appreciate their pricing and their organization.

Hospice Thrift Store

This is a local staple and one that I’ve shopped several times! The building is sectioned off and organized well.

The Ultimate Garage Sale Store in Hickory

We’ve only been once but this was a great store if you are looking for great quality furniture!

TIP: Take your time and be thorough

Unless you are crunched on time, then I highly recommend taking your time and thoroughly looking through the shelves and racks. You will be amazed at what you find hiding under cheap plastic platters or behind some frilly artwork.
