What are the best brands to resell?
I’ve learned over the years what brands hold their value and what brands don’t, and I learned this the hard way by thrifting a brand that I thought would bring a nice return only to have it sell for a few dollars more than what I paid. One of my first lessons was just because a brand is costly in a retail store does not mean it will also be costly in a resell scenario. White House Black Market is a great brand and rather costly at the store, however it does not hold it’s value well and resells for pennies on the dollar.
Another lesson I have learned is to pay attention when brands resell value starts to shift downward. J.Crew comes to mind as a brand that used to bring high returns every time. Now I am lucky to resell a dress for $10. So what are some brands that fetch a high resell value?
