Why Customers Buy From Our Estate Sales

If I have heard it once, then I have heard it a thousand times that customers are drawn to our estate sales because of how we display and organize the inventory.

β€œThis is the nicest estate sale I have ever been to”

β€œThis is the most organized estate sale I have ever been to”

And the feedback goes on and on.

We are so appreciative our customers sharing their feedback to how we approach estate sales because organization is at our core.

Each estate sale company will approach sales in a slightly different way, we decided long ago that there were certain details we wanted to be known for with our customers.

Organized Inventory

You will never find yourself shopping at a Pure & Simple Estate Sale that is not organized. Never. ;)

The fundamental value at the core of our service is organizing. We were founded by professional organizers after all. :) When you walk into a Pure & Simple sale, you can expect that similar items will be grouped together to make shopping easier.

We try to set up our homes like a department store.

Ladies fashion this way! Home entertaining over here! Garage and power tools out the back door.

Items are Priced & Marked

While I love shopping sales that aren’t priced (hello deals!), I cannot for the life of me allow us to host one of those ourselves. β€˜:) Pricing on the fly wears you out first of all. It is easy to forget the price you told someone second of all. And lastly, it really takes advantage of the client who hired us to host their estate sale.

At the end of the day, anyone can give their stuff away, they don’t need to hire a liquidator to do that. It is our job to research and price everything within a home. It is one of the reasons we are hired!

Promotions

Everyone loves a deal! Everyone. :)

Our promotion policy followed the industry standard for years, β€œfull price on the first day, half off on the last day.” But given I’m not one that wants to go with the flow and follow the crowd, I decided to do some research work on ways we could improve our promotions.

I looked at other thrift stores in our area and thought about retail stores as well. While our promotions change with each estate sale, customers have come to know that we will have a discount on the ready for them and it will be the same for each customer!

No discount for some and not for others. ;)

Hospitality

A smile and a kind word can go a long way. One of the things I love about estate sales is our customers. Talking and mingling is the best part! And I think customers feel the same. :)
