What is the easiest way to ship items?
One of the hurdles to reselling is more about the logistics and cost of shipping. I personally am working through it as I debate how we can expand our inventory with larger case goods, but I keep coming up against the wall of βhow do we ship it?β
#1: The Easiest Way To Ship
It is my experience that utilizing the built in shipping labels and tracker through eBay and Etsy are the easiest ways to ship. It also happens to be a little cheaper as their rates are lower to compete with in-store options.
Within eBay, you have 4 carriers to choose from. I always choose 'βeBayβ.
Within each carrier, you will have multiple service options such as overnight, priority, first class, etc.
If a package is under 16 oz (or 1 lb), I choose USPS First Class.
If a package is over 1 lb, I choose USPS Priority Mail. I have found that Parcel Posts can take longer to reach the customer and while it is cheaper, I would rather ensure a happy customer than save a few bucks.

#2: The Easiest Thing To Ship
The easiest thing to ship is clothes. The next easiest thing to ship are books. Followed by ties, belts, and jewelry.
Shoes, handbags, and breakables all require more substantial packaging.
#3: The Best Shipping Supplies
I will go into more detail on shipping supplies in a later post, but here are my go-to supplies when it comes to shipping.
A food scale to weigh my packages
Poly-mailers for clothes, ties, belts (all those easy-to-ship items)

If you want to ready-to-print designs or a few options to customize yourself, Iβve got you covered! My Etsy shop has tons of printables and design options! I recommend the βtemplateβ option so you can customize it with your own colors and fonts. Then print directly through Canva. The cost is VERY minimal and the payoff is HUGE! :)
