Where to Get Packing Supplies for your Reselling Business
Logistics of shipping can be the greatest hurdle that an online reseller has to overcome. My least favorite part of shipping is the required space to store boxes and shipping materials.
If you only resold clothes, then you could streamline shipping and the space necessary to store materials. In our case, we resell a variety of items and they all come in many shapes and sizes.
Letβs talk about where to find shipping materials/boxes/etc.
Shipping Boxes
One easy solution is to reuse boxes from Amazon, Walmart, Target, and the like. While they are usually branded with anotherβs logo, I do find it economical to reuse.
If you donβt shop online, then ask your friends and family if they have boxes available. Most are happy to save for you to reuse.
The Container Store is another great avenue for a variety of boxes. While we havenβt gone the route of ULINE, there is a plethora of boxes available on their site.
Shipping Bags
Amazon is a great place to purchase inexpensive poly mailers. We have tried several different brands and all pass the test!
Packing Material
Newspaper makes a great filler, along with packing paper. Most reams of packing paper are very affordable from Lowes, Walmart, etc.
You could also use styrofoam packing peanuts.
Extras
Include a Thank You Postcard with each order and watch your feedback score go up, up, up. We make ours through Canva and print them directly their website.
We have several templates in our online store if you want to customize yours (which I highly recommend)!
I also include Thank You Stickers on the outside of each package.
